Experience. Independence. Integrity.
Dan for Dutchess Comptroller

I’m running for Comptroller because I believe good government begins with accountability, integrity, and fiscal responsibility. I’ll be able to provide that from day one because I have the experience and the independence to do the job. I’ve been managing government budgets for 20 years and I’m ready to watch over our hard-earned tax dollars.

My job from day one will be to make sure that every tax dollar spent makes sense. Costs are out of control and we need a Comptroller who is serious about fighting waste and overspending in Dutchess County.

A Financial Watchdog.

The County Comptroller’s primary responsibility is to serve as a watchdog protecting taxpayer dollars from waste and corruption. A Comptroller should have a deep understanding of government finance and operations. Dan has the experience and independence to do this job on day one.

On project after project, Dutchess County taxpayers have watched government spending run over budget. After decades of financial mismanagement, we need independent financial oversight to ensure the county’s money is working for you.

Dan will put people first. We deserve to know how our hard-earned taxpayer dollars are spent. Dan will bring his findings and information about the Dutchess County budget directly to you.

Dan will be an objective and aggressive auditor, not a “rubber stamp.” A good Comptroller deals with facts, not politics. Dan takes the watchdog role seriously and will increase audits and oversight.

Dan will address the housing crisis. As a Beacon Councilmember, Dan has fought for housing for seniors and working families. As Comptroller, Dan will execute an annual review of Dutchess County’s progress toward meeting its housing goals.

Dan will evaluate the economic impact of global warming in Dutchess County and the County’s investment in sustainability and climate preparedness.

Dan will work to ensure that every taxpayer dollar spent benefits our residents and communities.
