Originally from Saratoga Springs, I am a sixth-generation New Yorker who learned the values of hard work and compassion from my father, a Hudson River tugboat captain and my mother, a nurse. I worked two jobs while earning my BA from George Washington University.
In 2013, my wife Monika and I moved to Beacon, where we are raising our two children, Leo and Henry. Since I was first elected to Beacon City Council in 2019, I have fought to make Beacon work for everyone: using tax dollars for sidewalks, bike lanes, park improvements, and critical infrastructure. This year, I am fighting to ensure the Fishkill Creek watershed area is protected and developed in a way that benefits the entire community.
Experience
I have made a career in finance and operations, two decades of that experience in government finance and operations. I’ve even overseen a budget bigger than Dutchess County’s.
I currently manage business operations in New York City Public Schools’ special education program and have extensive experience in reviewing multi-million-dollar contracts, civil service hiring, legal compliance, and managing capital projects.
Independence
I have no ties to special interests and work only for the taxpayers of Dutchess County. I’m not a part of an old boys’ club.
